This is NOT the power saving EKBS-XX Airlift Solar Powered Draft Tube Aerators offered elsewhere for cleanwater. We continue to see the bottom mounted diffuser type systems (a very high cost of ownership and maintenance system) still gaining some popularity in wastewater aerobic lagoons for sewage treatment. To address pulse aeration techniques, using only the sun, we developed the EKBSR-1 as lowest overall cost solar powered, bottom mounted, diffused air system for dirty water. This system provides the larger number of solar panels you need to pump air into the bottom of a 20 foot deep pond or 3-5 ft deep sludge lagoon where using an airlift draft tube is not applicable. In order to manage the PV array capital cost while minimizing timed pump downtime we developed the PulseAer. The PulseAer is an expandable solar powered aerator that can economically operate an air diffuser at 20 feet of pond depth while providing the oxygen transfer needed to overcome diurnial dissolved oxygen variations to maintain pond viability and control odor.1. The PulseAer basic model with four 60 watt solar arrays will provide an average of 12 liters per minute of airflow each day to maintain dissolved oxygen levels and water quality with bottom mounted air diffusers at 10 ft water depths. The minimum design EKBSR-1 unit also has the ability to provide up to 1200 minutes of pump time distributed over eight 0-60 minute air pulses to offset diurnial O2 variations and maintain pockets of sustainable dissolved oxygen levels.2. Expansion PV array kits allow the PulseAer to operate 24/7. Each additional 60 watt array will cost you 0.00 and increase pump time 360 minutes until you reach 6, 60 watt solar panel arrays. Six 60 watt solar panel arrays and battery banks (NOT INCLUDED), can allow 24/7 operation of the PulseAer System, driving up to 4 cfm of air into the pond, around the clock. The system is designed to allow expansion up to a total of 10 PV arrays (600 watts).

Feature

  • You get everything you need to point it at the sun and start pumping air into the bottom a 20 ft deep pond for up to 6 hrs (BATTERIES ARE NOT INCLUDED)
  • If you can unpack the box you can setup the unit with a screwdriver in about 2 hours (DOES NOT INCLUDE SITE PREP. TIME).
  • Requires a three 12V marine Battery Bank ( batteries are not included).
  • Requires a flat, well drained, site prep. A minimum of three 5ft squares of gravel or stone base by others. PV arrays to be anchored to ground by others.
  • Design is to perform for 20 hrs/day in ponds up to 20 ft deep where bottom mounted diffusers are required. At a 10 ft water depth the aeration time may increase to 24 hrs/day.
